From 1913-1920

Troop 1 was established in Canfield, awarding one Eagle Award to Robert Manchester, II.

1921

Troop 1 disbanded as records show no rechartering as of that year.

1926

Troop 25 is chartered or established by Herb Kassady, a minister at Canfield United Methodist Church. Pastor Kassady previously led Troop 13 in Ashtabula.

James (Jimmy) B. Jones, the Postmaster in Canfield, was the first Committee Chair. Robert Kassady was the first Eagle Scout Awarded in the troop.

World War II brought a lot of changes for the troop, where there was an average of one new Scoutmaster per year, but the troop continued to thrive.

1938

Cub Scout Pack 25 is established by John Wolboldt

1950’s

Brought stability to the troop.

    • 1950 – 1971 Herman West, Eagle Scout and Postmaster of Canfield
    • 1972 – 1993 John Wolboldt, Eagle Scout
    • 1993 – 1998 Steve Kowolsky, Eagle Scout

1998

Eagle Scout, Kevin Prus takes over as the 18th Scoutmaster; though, the 4th since the 1950’s

Presented our 179th Eagle Award

Troop 25 has had more than 2,000 youth involved from our community

Girls Troop is forming
